Traveling with kids can be easy, safe, and memorable.

Traveling with kids can be easy, safe, and memorable.

Kids Travel Pillow

(PRWEB) January 13, 2012

Traveling with kids can be easy, safe, and memorable.

Traveling with kids can be a challenge at the best of times. Kids have different priorities that revolve around their own needs and desires; they are focused on themselves and their own experiences during the trip. Kids need to be safe during travel; they need to be comfortable during the trip. Most of all, they want to enjoy themselves, and this can be especially challenging during long rides with no outside entertainment. Parents naturally want that trip experience to be as pleasant and memorable as possible; family trips build memories that last a lifetime. “Kids have needs, and getting the right travel accessories from travelaccessoriesplus.com to see to those needs makes even the longest trips comfortable, safe, and enjoyable.” said Alex Frankel, CEO for travelaccessoriesplus.com

Safety First!

Vehicle and airline travel requires appropriate safety chairs for kids of all ages. Travelers should always research their destination to ensure they can comply with local regulations. Smaller safety measures can be taken during to the trip to keep kids out of trouble. Luggage locks can keep prying fingers out of storage compartments and bag pouches while an adult’s attention is otherwise occupied. A lanyard or belt with an ID card holder and emergency contact information may prove invaluable in case of an accident. Electronic adapters and a cheap set of wall plugs will keep curious fingers from inserting things into wall sockets during unguarded moments. A basic first aid kit should always accompany any kind of travel.

Comfort Makes Happy Memories

Kids need everything to be just right, especially during trips meant to create happy lifetime memories. A favorite pillow or a familiar plush doll can provide that little extra bit of reassurance and security that makes a difference in a child’s traveling experience. Travel pillows designed just for kids not only provide comfort during travel, but make comfortable and personal pillows during rest stops. Travel pillows tend to be more durable than regular pillows and are contoured to provide the best support while minimizing packing space. Comfortable traveling clothes are often easy to care for as well. Plush throws during the winter and personal fans during the summer let kids adjust their own temperature without disturbing those around them. A breath of moving air from a personal fan can go a long way toward alleviating the effects of nausea from motion sickness.

Fun Makes Every Trip a Vacation

Kids do not tend to view every trip to see relatives and friends as a grand adventure or dream vacation. Favorite toys often do not travel well, and may be lost or broken. While some toys and games may be designated just for trips, a little forethought provides cheap, compact entertainment. Many popular travel games require only a pencil and paper for keeping score or taking notes. Themed, multiple-shape travel pillows and blankets may also serve as stuffed friends and companions. Themed luggage tags can not only personalize a kid’s carry-on, but provide a springboard for imaginary adventures. Durable traveling conveniences like personal fans, scales, and clocks become high-tech spy gear in the hands of a junior secret agent. Creativity and imagination make memorable family adventures out of any trip.

Be Prepared

Attending to the needs and desires of children while traveling can help make the trip more pleasant for everyone. A small investment of time and research will go a long way; creativity and imagination will make up much of the difference. Accessories, comforts, and items to personalize a child’s traveling experience have been preselected and organized by the experts at travelaccessoriesplus.com, all designed to make traveling with kids easier, safer, more comfortable, and memorable for a lifetime.

Thekidscoop.com Spreads its Wings

Thekidscoop.com Spreads its Wings

Toronto, ON (PRWEB) January 14, 2012

Thekidscoop.com has grown exponentially since its inception in June 2009 as a tool for Montreal parents to search an extensive, proprietary database of kid’s activities. The website is expanding into the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), where parents can plan their family’s outings, find local kid’s activities and “deals & steals” from kid-friendly local businesses.

According to Cindy Fagen, the website’s founder and president, the expansion into Toronto and next year into Calgary and Vancouver, reflects investor confidence in her business model. Fagen says that the investors are active strategic partners who are helping to shape The Kid Scoop’s business and connect with key advisors who have been successful in their own startups.

“The recent financing has made it possible for us to launch in other cities,” she explains. “When an investor looks at us, they see that our business is scalable with great potential for growth.”

In the next phase, The Kid Scoop will further invest in product development, develop a mobility strategy, increase traffic and hire additional staff to support the expansion. Fagen says, “We are continuously learning new and innovative ways to improve our business model. We expect to replicate this model and achieve our goal of a Kid Scoop in every city.”

Thekidscoop.com platform allows them to represent the SMB channel via digital and social media by offering hyper-local targeted content to a niche audience of busy parents. For parents Thekidscoop.com provides a single, no-cost reference source for kid’s activities, programs and events. When parents sign in as Scoop members and register key information, such as their children’s ages and specific interests, they receive a monthly customized plan with relevant kid-friendly activities and real-time information. Parents also have an option to register and pay on-line for many of the activities.

The Kid Scoop website is a value property for small- and medium-sized businesses who want to target their local advertising via the Internet to reach busy parents. Fagen says this demographic smartly uses on-line technology as an accessible tool to research products and services and facilitate decision-making.

“We solve a universal pain point: parents want to save time and money and want the best for their kids. Businesses also want to reach these parents. We are the match maker between these two important demographics.”

While the website is the primary contact point for The Kid Scoop, on-the-go parents can also access thekidscooop.com via pages on social media, such as Facebook and Twitter.
