T&MW contributing editor Brad Thompson fared better. He volunteers at a Vermont-based nonprofit computer-recycling and refurbishment center. Brad reports, "Many of the local organizations that use lots of PCs are migrating to flat-panel LCDs as displays. We receive quite a few CRT displays, many of which are still somewhat functional but don't pass our tests. As prices decline further, we'll see even more."
